USEPA - Airline Water Supply Agreement

In November 2004 the United States Environmental Protection Agency and several major airlines reached an agreement regarding drinking water testing on aircraft. This testing included a total coliform and disinfectant residual test from at least one galley and lavatory on each aircraft in a twelve month time period.

The USEPA has finalized new regulations for aircraft drinking water supplies. The Aircraft Drinking Water Rule was signed on October 5, 2009

These new regulations require coliform sampling and analysis.

Garden State Laboratories, Inc. has been providing drinking water testing services for 65 years. We are NELAC accredited and certified by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the New York State Department of Health, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Our Lab is conveniently located less than 15 minutes from Newark Liberty Airport and services all of the major airports in the New York City, New Jersey metropolitan area.

The cost for a total coliform test, including E. coli, if needed, is $45.00.

The cost for a disinfectant residual test (free chlorine) is $45.00.

The cost for sampling is $50.00 per visit.

In addition Garden State Labs can also perform a standard plate count for $45.00 per sample.
